EXPO Richmond 2024: Innovations in Safety Training and Industry Support
On April 12-13, 2024, Forestry Mutual Insurance had the pleasure of attending the 39th East Coast Sawmill, Logging, and Pallet Equipment Exposition at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA—historically known as the birthplace of Secretariat, the horse racing legend. The event celebrated forestry's rich past, dynamic present, and promising future by gathering seasoned exhibitors, enthusiastic newcomers, and industry veterans.
Expo Richmond 2024 was more than just a business event; it was a lively community gathering. The expo featured live equipment demonstrations, networking opportunities, and family-friendly activities, showcasing the resilience and unity of the forestry community. Attendees had the chance to engage in hands-on safety training sessions, see the latest advancements in logging technology, and discuss best practices for workplace safety. This interaction and exchange of ideas are vital for continuous improvement and innovation within the forestry sector.
We were especially excited to have our loss control field representatives, Shawn Fulks and Ryan Barton, share their expertise through our Sharp Logger classes. These sessions were packed with essential knowledge and skills to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance using Sharp Logger equipment.
The expo also gave us a wonderful chance to celebrate our esteemed business partners, including the Virginia Forestry Association, Virginia Loggers Association, United Risk Advisors, TimberRisk, and Gaines & Critzer.
