Since 1971, the North Carolina Forestry Associations Self Insurer’s Fund has been a major force in the workers compensation insurance market. As a specialist in the wood products industry, we pioneered stable, competitive rates as well as introduced safety programs and practices designed to protect workers in a dangerous working environment. In 1999, the North Carolina Forestry Association’s Self-Insurer Fund became the North Carolina Forestry Association’s Mutual Insurance Company, and in 2000, once again changed it's name in growth to Forestry Mutual Insurance Company.

This Mutual Insurance Company is owned by the policy holders, which gives us the flexibility needed to adapt to change economic conditions and take advantage of new opportunities. We have an outstanding dividend history and will continue to pay dividends when possible, although dividends can never be guaranteed.
